Creative Director job Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop strategies and tactical execution of design communication materials in all media
- Review and approve jobs for B & C level of work and not necessary for the transaction type of work (D & E)
- Coordinate with the various stakeholders creative strategy and tactical execution, and make sure they are in alignment with project scope & budget needs
- Assess & define photography, image needs and other art assets
- Provide key strategic & tactical insight during key client input meetings
- Conduct all phases of project execution as it relates to Art Direction
- Present creative concepts and provide clear direction to senior management
- Partner with Cross Functional teams (account, traffic, production) to provide comprehensive and inclusive project management
- Art direct internal and external photo shoots
- Provide direction to and supervise designers as needed
- Oversee the design and implementation of brand expressions across all mediums – events, ads, presentation & storytelling, web, mobile, interactive, OOH, video, collateral, etc. Delivering high-quality experiences that are intentional, beautiful, and support company’s brand strategy.
- Provide inspiring creative leadership: mentor, coach and grow a team of visual and brand designers.
- Collaborate with Head of Creative, VP of Design and across company’s marketing teams to build strong partnerships and trust.
- Envision and implement a cohesive visual style for all brand experiences, working closely with the Head of Creative.
- Manage the prioritization and assignment of all creative requests, in close collaboration with our Sr. Project Manager.
- Evangelize learnings from partnerships and teams to continually improve the quality and efficiencies of our work.
- Protect the integrity of the brand, while encouraging creative exploration and risk-taking.

- Enhance the team knowledge of best design practices and trends in packaging and graphic design
- Work with Brand Managers, Marketing and Content Managers to provide end-to-end visual creative support.
- Present and defend the work with Senior Leadership team members
- Understand and respond to testing metrics and performance data to define or adjust the direction of creative designs
- Plan, attend and direct photo shoots
- Willingness and ability to take on design-related operational tasks finalized to processes and productivity improvement
- Write Amazon documents, as a leader or as a contributor
- Be an active leader in the Amazon design community
Creative Director Requirements:
- Proficiency in entire Adobe CS Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro along with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of printing processes and pre-press proofing and specifications
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience in communicating and discussing concepts with senior-level clients is critical
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong strategic thinker coupled with conceptual skills
- Highly creative out-of-the-box thinker with a “start-up” entrepreneurial mentality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum Qualification
- Degree in graphic design, visual design or relevant design degree.
- Broad experience across brand and visual design for web, events, campaigns, digital marketing, presentations, collateral, corporate communications, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of design principles for branding and marketing with demonstrable knowledge of UI design, information hierarchy and typography.
- Executive presence to convey brand visuals and storytelling to a technical audience.
- Fluency in Adobe CC, Figma and HTML/CSS.
