Job Title: Technical Account Manager Amazon Jobs – Seattle, Washington
DESCRIPTION
We are hiring a Technical Account Manager (TAM) in the Amazon Nonfiction Books team. TAMs own operational relationships with top book publishers and ensure a seamless flow of digital book content and metadata through the pipeline to end consumers.
As a TAM, you liaise between publishers and Amazon internal teams to offer world class support in service of end-to-end ingestion and quality of digital content to Amazon readers. We engage publishers to prioritize selection, content quality, and competitive prices. The successful candidate will be customer obsessed, and show technical aptitude for solving sticky problems while maintaining a positive relationship.
The position will be responsible for the following:
· Deliver world class escalation support and own the operational relationship for our top publishers
· Route opportunities to improve the vendor experience to into the Voice of the Vendor program
· Influence content providers to prioritize Book selection and quality
· Develop and improve global Standard Operating Procedures, especially related to new process creation or transitioning to more cost effective teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
· 2+ years of experience managing external vendor/client relationships or advanced technical support
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel, Access, Unix desired
· General knowledge of digital media data elements, ONIX, CODECs, XML, FTP, Images, Encoding, DRM, etc.
· Familiarity with the design and utilization of complex systems
· Experience in the publishing industry, and a passion for books
· Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
