Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated student to join our Amazon Robotics as Program Manager Intern for a Summer Internship assignment.
This role is a 3 month internship to join Amazon Robotics full time (40 hours/week) from May 22, 2023 – August 25, 2023. This Amazon Robotics PM Summer Internship opportunity will be based out of North Reading, MA.
The candidate will have the opportunity work with senior program management and Science Research staff to deliver updates to existing products as well as new mechanisms, modules and systems. The ideal candidate has strong engineering aptitude, organization and communication skills, enjoys problem solving and can potentially handle multiple parallel tasks.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage one large, or multiple smaller projects in product development or engineering sustainment
- Project size and quantity is dependent upon candidate comfort level as well as business project priority at the time of hire
- Interface with all engineering disciplines to deliver project requirements
- Work with science research, supply chain, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and test engineering to implement engineering changes into production
- Leverage and develop project management skills including
- Development of project schedules using MS Project, or other chart tool of choice
- Leverage the agile scrum methodology
- Manage a risk register, including identifying, assessing and mitigating risks
- Develop payback models for new product features as required
- Bi-weekly project status reporting to leadership team
- Opportunities for process improvement related to management of sustaining projects and activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or MBA and is interested in project and/or program management, may have an interest in pursuing an MBA, or has interest in engineering management
- Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) 3-month internship between May/June, 2023 to August/September, 2023
- Graduation is December 2023 or later
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred familiarity with MS Project (or other equivalent Gantt chart tools and/or Agile Scrum methodology
- The candidate should have completed at least 1 internship or co-op in the project management field.
