Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Stevens is a member of the MAC and MAC Freedom Conferences and NCAA Division III and offers 25 varsity sports (13 for men and 12 for women), 17 club sports, a wide variety of intramural sports and special events, an extensive outdoor adventure program and a wide selection of wellness/fitness classes. Located in Hoboken, New Jersey, a historic small town that is just minutes away from Manhattan, Stevens has an enrollment of over 3,300 undergraduate students.

Position (part-time): Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required and master’s degree preferred; Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and First Aid, CPR, AED training certifications required; one year or more prior coaching experience in strength and conditioning at the collegiate level is strongly preferred; ability to work early mornings, mid evenings, and some weekends is necessary. The successful candidate is expected to complete several other trainings and professional development activities as they are offered at the university.

Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but not limited to the design and implementation and supervision of strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs for assigned teams.

Maintain knowledge of best practices to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of student athletes through the development and implementation of safe and effective strength, speed, and conditioning programs.

Assist in the daily operation of the varsity weight room, which includes risk management and equipment maintenance.

Perform all other duties as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach or any other Senior Level Administrator.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
