Job Description

The primaryresponsibility of the Bar Apprentice is to provide excellent service to allguests who approach the bar, keeps the bar area cleaned and stocked at alltimes, and assist the Bartender with various duties.

Essentialjob Functions

  • Must be willing and able to appear on television orto be filmed while performing day to day job functions
  • Must be able to interact with high profile guestsand celebrities while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Greets and welcomes all guests in a pleasant andprofessional manner.
  • Be a brand advocate by providing Guests withaccurate information regarding our venues, menus and pricing
  • Cleansbar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators and other barappliances.
  • Acknowledges,greets and converses with customers who approach the bar.
  • Preparesand pours all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers upon requestproviding they have a Union Pour Card.
  • Processesall cash transactions by accepting money and making necessary changeaccurately, while presenting customer with bar receipt.
  • Convertscash to coin for any customers playing the slot machines in the bar area.
  • Maynot work out of another person’s cash drawer and must follow the Cash HandlingPolicy.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Workrequires 6 months prior Bartender or Bar Apprentice experience.
  • Workrequires at least 1-year previous money handling position.
  • Musthave knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
  • Workrequires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in aprofessional manner.
  • Mustpresent a neat and professional appearance.
  • Workrequires interactions with customers, public and co-workers.
  • Workrequires teamwork with other staff members.
  • Workrequires ability to accurately count money and provide change.
  • Workrequires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, andovertime as needed.

Physical, Mental And Environmental Demands

Fast paced, high volume environmentinvolving constant public. Requires standing, walking, and lifting a minimum of15-20lbs repeatedly.Shifts may varybased on business needs. Must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.
