Delivery specialists are responsible for assuring truck availability and preparing the folders for the warehouse associates. They’re also responsible for processing 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) transfers, scrubbing pick list, and printing the labels and manifest for the warehouse associates.
The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday (Tu – F 9:30a to 6:30p, S 8a to noon) and
- (1) T-S 10:30a to 7p
- (2) T-S 9a to 5:30p
- (3) M-F 8a to 4:30p
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assure truck availability and prepare folders
- Verify contact information is correct
- Check for fully committed paid in full orders
- Reassign pieces to appropriate picking locations
- Place delivery tickets and manifest in folders
- Processing 3PL trucks
- Create 3PL transfer to the appropriate hub
- Scrub pick list to pull pieces from appropriate picking locations
- Print manifest and labels for the warehouse associates
- Save order drops
- Acknowledge transfers to the appropriate hub
- Returns/Exchanges
- Work with logistics specialist to get RA and new piece(s) set up
- Get scheduled on next available truck
- Keep customer updated
- Overages/Shortages
- Reach out to the appropriate Hub coordinator to research
- Maintain emails and Spiceworks ticket assignments
- Log into Queue
Education, Experience And Other Qualifications
- High school diploma; College degree preferred
- Some customer service experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s license preferred
- Working knowledge of computer programs
- Understanding of general work practices in warehousing and distribution, including order processing, picking, and shipping processes and procedures.
- Dedicated to business and allow flexibility with work hours if necessary
