Description

There is an opening for an Accounting Clerk through Robert Half, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position based in the Beverly, Massachusetts area. Key responsibilities

• Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a wide range of sources
• Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
• Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
• Work with Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
• Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
• Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
• Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst

Requirements

• Less than one year of experience preferred
• Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Data entry experience preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word
• Customer service experience highly desired
• Command of Microsoft Windows
• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
• Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
