Find your future with us. Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an Early Career Manufacturing Engineer to support the QF-16 Program. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Member of team of manufacturing engineers in a planning and production environment and implements manufacturing plans on the factory floor. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies. Work with Industrial Engineering and IPT to sequence and integrate systems hardware installations with modification plan. Candidate must be willing to work outside of primary role and take on collateral responsibilities within the Engineering IPT. Ideal candidate is responsible to the Engineering IPT Manager for the program, works well in an empowered environment, with minimal oversight, must be self starting employees. Goals are team based, must thrive in a team environment. Customer service skills. Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the integration of technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Supports the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build. Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigates technical problems. Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies. Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience. Supports the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies. . This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Typical Education/Experience : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry at time of start date. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Experience & Skills) : Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering Degrees are preferred Standard PC desktop applications are required Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including Word and Excel Strong communication skills All information provided will be checked and may be verified.
