Arcadis is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Practice Lead. This position can be based out of any of our Eastern US office locations.
The EHS Community of Practice (CoP) Lead will be responsible for the continued growth and development of the EHS CoP in North America. Building on Arcadis’ strong market position, this role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to drive continued expansion of our EHS practice by further refining our current solutions and developing new, innovative EHS solutions to our clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving innovation and technical excellence through the CoP, leading strategic business development opportunities, and delivering EHS compliance, assurance, and management system solutions to clients across multiple market sectors. These results will be achieved in close collaboration with Market Sector Leaders, Account Leaders, and EHS technical experts in North America.
Primary Responsibilities Include-

- Strategy- In collaboration with the EHS&S Technical Solutions Leader and Market Sectors Leaders, support development and execution of a sustainable growth-oriented strategy for EHS services using your knowledge of client and sector business needs.
- Solutions- Further develop current EHS solutions through standardization and digitalization to differentiate our services, better position us in the market, or improve business efficiency. Engage EHS practitioners and partners to innovate new solutions to meet client needs.
- Business development- Working with Market Sector Leader, Account Leaders, and EHS technical experts, provide business development support with a focus on expanding relationships with key clients. Serve as point of contact to help build proposal and project teams for opportunities. Support development of marketing materials to position and promote Arcadis and develop relevant and up-to-date case studies to highlight our capabilities.
- Project Delivery- Lead the implementation of large, complex EHS programs and projects, managing multidisciplinary teams and working to ensure delivery standards meet client expectations. Develop and share best practices, methodologies, and common tools to increase business efficiency.
- People Leadership- Lead and mentor a well-defined, active CoP community for our EHS technical staff. Keep our EHS staff at the leading edge by driving technical skills development (knowledge and capabilities). Maintain an overview of national and global capabilities and resources for the discipline. Identify technical knowledge or capability gaps and develop and implement strategy to resolve those gaps.
- Thought Leadership- Working with the EHS technical leaders, actively engage in external, client-facing forums that bring value to Arcadis and our clients (e.g., conferences, webinars, trainings, white papers, blogs, etc.). Promote knowledge and service delivery proposition, webinars, conference paper/presentations, articles.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications-

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field including Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geology, Engineering, or other science discipline.
- 15+ years of EHS professional experience
Preferred Qualifications-
-
- Master’s degree in relevant field including Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geology, Engineering, or other science discipline.
- EHS certifications such as Management Systems Auditor (ISO 45000/14000/50000), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS), Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA).
