POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Level 1, Fleet Services Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on various sized trucks and construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have basic diagnostic and repair knowledge, a customer centric attitude, and ensure a safe, clean and organized work environment.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on Class 1 – Class 8 trucks
  • Ability to diagnose and repair small engines and electric/air brake trailers
  • Ability to perform general preventative maintenance and repairs on light construction equipment
  • Occasionally reports to active construction sites to perform various repairs
  • Complete accurate detailed work orders after completion of every task
  • Perform detailed Pre-Trip inspections before driving company vehicles
  • Provide ongoing support to SR technicians
  • Provide other position duties as requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position operates out of a Fleet Services shop environment
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking and driving
  • Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
  • Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and high visible vest when working on-site
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance; wear proper uniform at ALL times

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 2+ years experience as a Service Technician performing basic repairs on small trucks and light construction equipment required
  • Formal technical training and certification preferred
  • Class A CDL w/ Tanker endorsements preferred; ability to obtain w/in 90 days of hire required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
