Experienced Cyber Security Engineer
We are searching for multiple Experienced Cyber Security Engineers at our Newport, RI location.
SEACORP is a veteran-owned business based in Middletown, Rhode Island. Founded in 1981, we have been providing services to the U.S. Navy for over 40 years. Our core business is providing systems, software, and hardware engineering services, as well as test and evaluation services to the Navy, chiefly for submarine electronic systems. We have enjoyed steady, planned growth for over three decades, and have grown to over 450 people with operations in multiple states. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The selected applicant will perform work to assist with the design andmanagement of the security of DoD systems. The experience level required is forapplicants to fill positions as Information Systems Security Engineers (ISSE)and Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO). While these positions willmostly have regular business hours, some travel will be required.
Experience with DoD Cybersecurity, System Engineering, and/or Test &Evaluation processes. Understanding of the application of policy, process, andtechnical controls to mitigate cyber risks. Tasks will include analysis,specification, and/or development of technical controls and security policiesas well as methods to certify that the systems under evaluation are properlydesigned and configured using the National Institute of Standards andTechnology (NIST) 800 series of special publications and other applicable DoDrequirements. Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), SystemEngineering process, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authorization andAccreditation (A&A) processes is required. Experience with theimplementation of security controls on current Linux or Windows versions is aplus.

Eligibility Requirements:
Education: A technical field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent) Bachelor of Science degree is required for this position. Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy “C” School) and 6 years’ experience in military systems (e.g., service abroad a naval ship) with an additional 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering can be substituted for the Bachelor of Science degree requirement.
Experience: 6+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience beyond IT support.U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret (or higher) clearance are required.Must meet baseline eligibility for Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) at the DoD 8570 Information Assurance Manager, Level I (IAM-I) and/or DoD 8140 Intermediate/Journeyman in Specialty Area 722. An example of an industry certification meeting this requirement is CompTIA’s Security+ credential.
