Position Summary As a Journey Electrician, you will facilitate the installation, repair and maintenance of wireless and wireline telecommunications equipment, and will performs many different tasks

Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities

  • General Duties
    • Utilize basic hand tools
    • Utilize basic power tools (saw, drill, pipe bender)
    • UG Conduit installation.
    • Could lift upwards of 50lbs.
    • Climbing ladders to heights up to 10’.
    • Operate boom or scissor lifts to achieve heights greater than 10’
    • Operate Company vehicle.
    • Attend bid walks
    • Supervise Apprentice electrician duties.
  • Wire Pulling
    • Installation of AC & DC circuits in conduit
    • Installation of fiber optic cable in conduit
    • Installation and termination of CAT5
  • Maintenance
    • Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects.
    • Troubleshooting and repairing / replacement of defective parts.
  • Complete Installations
    • Installation of all AC/DC circuits at wireless telecommunications facilities.
    • Installation of conduit paths for both wireline and wireless telecommunications facilities.
    • Installation of Fiber optic cabling to provide backhaul circuits for wireless telecommunications sites.
    • Installation of AC/DC Generators for backup power at wireless telecommunications sites.

  • Basic mechanical abilities with hand tools and simple power tools.
  • Ability to work independently from the electrician on tasks that require less skills or experience
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out written and verbal instructions.
  • Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Must agree to pre-employment drug testing and background check

Physical Demands

The employee needs to have good vision for close work, distance, color discrimination, peripheral, and depth perception.

Required Education And Experience

  • 5+ years experience working as an Electrician in either residential or commercial jobs
  • Journey or Master NH/VT/ME License Required
  • Telecommunications or Commercial electrical experience is a plus
  • Computer/Networking experience is a plus

Supervisory Responsibility Direct oversight of an Electrical Apprentice.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time non-exempt position.


  • Up to 10% local travel
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.
