WWC Global is seeking a Junior Web Developer who is a motivated, adaptive problem solver to assist our customer in their growing needs. The primary responsibility of the Junior Web Developer will be to develop software within an ASP.Net Core development environment in the Visual Studio IDE. The Junior Web Developer will also be responsible for writing SQL to retrieve and update information in the system database, unit testing the software he/she develops, and maintaining code libraries.

The Junior Web Developer should:

  • Have 2-3 years of experience working with modern code frameworks and cloud technologies.
  • Have a strong grasp of .NET development (C#, C++), and familiarity with the Visual Studio IDE.
  • Be able to design and implement basic C# classes and methods quickly and efficiently.
  • Be able to write basic SQL statements and queries.
  • Be able to demonstrate basic familiarity with mobile development.
  • Be accustomed to debugging and testing their code regularly.
  • Have experience working with code repository platforms such as: GitHub, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Have ability to understand 3rd party API documentation.
  • Have reasonably strong foundation of HTML/CSS/JS technologies.

This position is contingent on contract award. Multiple positions may be hired from this announcement.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:

  • 0-20% / Occasional travel.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years experience in web development, information system or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. (Eligible to pass Federal security clearance process. Please visit the link for FAQs: https://www.dcsa.mil/mc/pv/mbi/gicp/)
  • Must obtain CompTIA Security + Certification within 6 months of starting on contract.
  • Foundation in HTML5 for presenting web content
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • EO 14042, the vaccine mandate for federal contractors, is enjoined and not currently being enforced. Should enforcement resume, applicants must understand and agree to comply with the order and related guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems.
  • Current, active Secret security clearance.
  • An understanding of the Agile project management framework.
  • Successful design, development, and implementation of custom-coded applications in use today.
  • Understanding of Bootstrap 4+ framework and hands-on experience with mobile webpage development.
  • Strong competencies with .NET Core development.
