A busy family living in TriBeCa are seeking a weekend nanny to assist them with their 1.5 and 3.5-year-olds. Both parents work very demanding full-time jobs during the week and want someone who can be an extra set of hands over the weekend, taking full-charge care if they need to run out, but also working as a great team-player if they want to do a family activity. They need someone who can work with them Saturday and Sunday 830am-530pm. If you were flexible to work later occasionally on Sundays that would be a huge plus.
The family has an apartment in TriBeCa and also a weekend home in Chappaqua, NY (an 1 hour commuter rail ride from Grand Central- the house is 5 minutes from the station). This role will require you to spend some weekends with them in TriBeCa and some in Westchester. There is room available in Westchester if it is more convenient for you to spend Saturday nights versus commuting. The family will cover travel expenses and can pick you up/drop you off at the train station.
Duties for this role will include taking the kids to fun and interactive activities, handling their meal prep, getting down on the ground to play with them, running around in the large backyard with them, etc. These are very energetic children and you need to be able to keep up. They would prefer a nanny who is friendly, warm, happy, and easygoing to match the vibe of the family. There is a small hypo-allergenic dog in the home so being pet-friendly is a must. You should also be willing to keep the home tidy around yourself, picking up toys after games and washing dishes/loading the dishwasher after meals. If you have a valid driver’s license, that would be a huge plus for the family- they have a car in Westchester available to utilize. You must be COVID vaccinated to be considered.
