Job Position: Manufacturing Technician

Job Descriptions:

500 Bonus after 90 days of employment

Overview

The machine operator position operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation under instructions and direction Leads and Supervisors.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Performs machine operations in support of production processes.
• Follows production/process specifications or instructions as required.
• Performs machine setups and operator level maintenance to ensure proper working order. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow controls, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Performs all work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintains operating records and reports.
• Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out.
• Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities with the equipment to maintenance technician.
• Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions, safety equipment, E-stops and radio communications.
• Must be willing to accept and receive supervision, direction and training.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

• Forklift operator, overhead crane, hand tools, micrometer and gauges.

Qualifications/Skills

• Required to use power hand tools
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to work with a diversified work force
• Ability to read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micrometer).

Education/Additional Information

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of factory-related experience preferred.
