This is a strategic area of investment for Amazon and the work we do is of paramount importance in preserving the trust customers have in Amazon’s stores. Our environment is dynamic and highly ambiguous as we continuously work to stay one step ahead of those who use various and changing methods to manipulate ratings and reviews.

Key job responsibilities
• Deep dive current process to identify gaps and use program management best practices to set a roadmap, execute and iterate to continuously improve
• Lead ambiguous and undefined problems to resolution in constantly changing, multi team-based environment, work backwards from customer needs to deliver high quality outputs
• Communicate effectively across multiple levels of organization, building trust, generate buy-in for the program vision both internally and with key external partners
• Define creative, high quality, simple program roadmaps based on program strategy and vision
• Work closely and collaboratively with design, program and product teams from partner organizations
• Delivering results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while driving teams to complete goals

A day in the life
We are seeking a Program Manager, to develop policies, procedures (SOP) and process improvement mechanisms that help the team to detect and eliminate fake reviews. This person will partner with cross functional teams in engineering, data science, legal and other groups to develop SOPs and improve our process. You must have a desire to drive change, interpret data for action and constantly be aware that your actions can help improve the shopping experience for tens of millions of Amazon customers worldwide.

About the team
The Community Trust team builds and operate systems that safeguard trust in the Amazon content. We protect shoppers from untrustworthy content and contributors through machine-learned content filters, forensic relationship-detection systems, abusive behavior pattern detection, and investigator tools. We partner with product-development, quality and customer-service teams across the company to make content moderation efficient and effective, deep dive in abuse investigations and respond to customer contacts. Our charter also extends to tools and processes that enable content owners to enforce, manage, and update their policies in cases where sharing resources is necessary.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

• 3+ years’ experience building roadmaps, process documents, SOPs and other business and continuous improvement outputs
• 3+ years’ experience writing, curating and driving business goals or deliverables
• 2+ years’ experience driving complex, multi-layered projects spanning several months

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• PMP or other Program Management certification
• Experience working with large datasets or parsing and understanding data trends
• Experience leading large, complex initiatives with limited or ambiguous data
• Experience presenting and defending a business case to leadership
• Experience with continuous improvement concepts and in practice (for example, Lean Six Sigma)
• Experience with SQL and working with large data sets.
