Job Summary:

The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to customers, visitors, and other guests of the organization. Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction. Perform clerical and/or administrative duties necessary within the Human Resources area which support the other positions within the department.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with employee onboarding and orientation
  • File and maintain personnel information and records
  • Conduct phone screening of potential candidates
  • Set up candidate interviews
  • Check for and send mail
  • Assist the HR team with special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to organize & prioritize tasks
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Ability to handle information (written and verbal) confidentially

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in construction or utility field is a plus
  • Customer service experience
  • Two plus years of administrative experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
