Apple Valley Village Health Care Center, a non-profit, 178 Resident skilled nursing facility, is seeking a Part Time Receptionist to work evening shift (3:45 pm-7:30 pm) 1-2 days per week and every other weekend (10 am 4 pm). Flexible schedule desired to cover additional intermittent day shifts, evening shifts or weekends for vacation request coverage.

Receptionist Job Responsibilities:

• Manage phone communications coming into the facility
• Greet visitors and guests professionally and warmly and determine their nature and purpose of visit
• Direct and/or accompany visitors and guests to appropriate destination
• Review, organize, post and audit resident trust account withdrawals in the billing system
• Sort and distribute Saturday mail
• Process weekly A/P invoices
• Perform various typing assignments and miscellaneous clerical duties for all departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the Business Office Director

Receptionist Skills & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with previous receptionist or office support experience
• Experience in managing multi-line phone system
• Passionate about working with mature adults including those living with dementia
• Proficient computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office suite preferred
• Place a high priority on customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Able to work with frequent interruptions
• Dependable, punctual and able to work flexible working hours
