Job summary

You can get all this and more as a Manager, Supply Chain in Shipper Performance space for Amazon Freight Operations and Shipper Support (AFOSS) team. With our Amazon Freight business growing fast, our operating models and supportive technology are revolutionizing the way world envisions shipping. We are looking for a leader. a self-initiator to lead our Shipper Performance model and relevant metric definition in our Resource Management team under AFOSS.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team which has a huge growth area for Amazon.
An ideal candidate has a background in transportation and excellent program management skills. The candidate must have the ability to pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication skills while having the ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities
• Create the mechanisms for capturing the right shipper performance metrics, which would help set up our business and shippers for success.
• Use business strategic approach to monitor the relevancy of metrics for business and trends to highlight call to action.
• Create and maintain a scalable dashboard to report Shipper performance with ability to showcase historical trends.
• Develop performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
• Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to create a narrative outlining your weekly findings and the variances to goals, and present these finding in a review forum.
• Ensure common metrics and definitions are being used consistently across all the cross-functional teams. Own team’s Wiki page update and SME material/document updates, and coordinate with policy team for SOW updates.
• Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes and identify and eliminate root causes of defects to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations.

• Relentlessly focus on improving our process accuracy and knowing the levers to pull for continuous improvement of process and influence business cost effectiveness.
• Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Involvement in recurring business reviews
• Adhoc deep dives and training

About the team
This a new role and a new team. You will innovate a lot of processes you would be responsible for driving on day to day basis. AFOSS is the one stop shop for all Amazon Freight Shipper Support. We are in start up mode and growing fast.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Accounting or relevant field
• Strategic & forward-thinking business approach
• Strong Analytical and quantitative skills
• Strong hands-on experience in Advance Excel, Access, SQL/Python.
• BA experience with creating online real time dashboard
• Business strategy experience in handling multiple business accounts and monitoring their performance
• 3+ years’ experience leading projects or programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA or Master’s Degree or relevant experience
• Data management & data quality control experience with experience pulling and analyzing large sets of data.
• Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.
