A service-based company located in Boston, MA is actively looking to hire a dedicated, smart Senior Staff Accountant to their accounting team. Reporting into the Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tasks relating to audit, tax, general ledger, fixed assets, budgeting, and some accounts payable and accounts receivable. The ideal Senior Staff Accountant will also get involved with process and control improvements for operation efficiencies.
Skills Include
-
- Month-end and year-end closing including the preparation, review and posting of journal entries
- Reconcile and analyze company financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and statement of cash flows
- Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Prepare internal and external financial reporting packages
- Management of fixed assets and calculate depreciation
- Aid in the continuous improvement of internal controls and routine accounting procedures
- Ad hoc duties as assigned by Controller
Qualifications
-
- 3+ years of general accounting experience
- BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines and deliver exceptional results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
