As the Social Media Manager, you are experienced in developing comprehensive social media plans and strategies, optimizing SEO, performing market research and monitoring the performance of promotional campaigns. You possess strong attention to detail, great analytical skills and well-developed time management abilities.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Communicate and support management with developing and maintaining an aesthetic and brand that reflects the company’s core values and ideas.
  • Work with Management & the Creative Department to create original content for all social media platforms.
  • Partner with Head of Content + Marketing to conceive seasonal campaigns and ideas.
  • Create a social posting strategy that aligns with the brand’s marketing calendar to increase engagement, visibility, and followers on all social channels.
  • Manage day-to-day communications & posts across all social media channels, including: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Curate a range of engaging posts, focusing on current product and key company events.
  • Manage affiliate programs, such as LikeToKnowIt, in partnership with management.
  • Maintain a voice in line with brand messaging at all times.
  • Engage in conversation (including direct messages and inquiries) with consumers in brand voice.
  • Augment usage of the Company’s blog.
  • Prepare a weekly recap of social media metrics, such as responses, channel growth, and leads for following week.
  • Conduct competitor analyses and trend reports within the industry.
  • Create content company’s social media channels from concept to execution under guidance of Head of Marketing.
  • Marry strategy and creativity with outstanding execution.
  • Champion innovation within the team and the company. Drive continual improvement in our quality, thinking and capabilities.
  • Constantly introduce new ideas and stimulation. Stay on top of trends in the social media, fashion, art, photography, and editorial worlds.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3-4 years’ experience in social media, including experience in a fashion brand.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or Social Media Management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms, affiliate programs, editing applications, and other best practices.
  • Effectively communicates information and ideas in written, photo, and video formats. Video editing experience is appreciated but not necessary.
  • Ability to formulate appropriate brand copy.
  • Ability to grow organic likes and followers across prominent platforms.
  • Ability to network with influencers and key social media players. A current list of relevant influencers is preferred.
  • Knowledge of international PR and markets preferred.
  • Outstanding creative & social media instincts in all facets of the creative process. Depth in photography, composition, typography, printing, video, and design.
  • Past track record of building strong cross-functional partnerships with teams including merchandising, marketing and e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of brand development, advertising and multi-channel campaign execution. Ability to see other points of view and cope with criticism.
  • Strong network of photographers, models, stylists and other talent.
  • Expertise with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Excellent communications and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Grace under pressure.
  • Communication, creativity, and an eye for art direction & social media is a must.
