DESCRIPTION

The Infrastructure Security Team is responsible for the security and risk management of the AWS Infrastructure. We build systems that detect, assess, and mitigate risk across the global infrastructure and are accountable for keeping the Amazon Infrastructure secure and compliant with customer requirements. The Infrastructure Security Team is looking for a Senior Security Leader to lead our Hardware Security Lifecycle Team. The successful candidate is expected to be a leader who can deliver through high performing, diverse, Engineering Teams and who understands and sets a high bar for all parts of security, software development, deployment, and operations. This leader will also be required to have strong impact and influence across AWS to drive a unified risk management strategy throughout the hardware lifecycle. You must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven, demonstrate high impact and influence across teams, and deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities
What will you be doing here?
Building world class software solutions that impacts every device within the AWS Infrastructure
Build and execute on a comprehensive security strategy
Coordinate across disparate teams within AWS to drive prioritized outcomes
Interact regularly with executive management to provide program and strategy updates
Set quality standards, build mechanisms and processes for team efficiency, continuously inventing and simplifying

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A background in computer science fundamentals: a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent).
10+ years of experience in software leadership roles; technical security leadership roles, or security executive roles
10+ years of experience with engagement and working with senior technical and business stakeholders
5+ years of technical program management experience and demonstrated knowledge of program management best practices
Prior experience hiring and developing a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Executive Technical Leadership (CISO, VP of IT, etc.)
Experience in with complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
Experience in leading through software engineers to improve security of their software.
Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project.
Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills.
A strong customer orientation.
Deep experience working with technical teams to deliver results
Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
