Job Title: Sr Manager Security Solutions

DESCRIPTION
Are you interested in being part of a top-notch security team covering all Amazon consumer devices (including hardware and low-level functionality) as well as key Amazon services supporting our consumer devices (such as Computer Vision, AppStore, Device Registration, Kindle, etc.)? If you want to keep customers safe, then we have a job for you! Amazon’s Digital team is growing and looking for a strong leader. You will drive the strategic direction, vision, execution and delivery of high impact and large scope complex organizational security initiatives during the development lifecycle including vulnerability mitigation, security patching, security training, security health. In this role, you will lead of a dedicated team of security professionals to raise the security bar for Amazon consumer products while developing and taking the team to the next level.

Your work will impact all stages of the product development lifecycle – architecture, design, development and post launch of cutting-edge Amazon consumer products (day 1 launches of new products as well as deployed products). You will develop strong partnerships to influence across organizations and work across disciplines including engineering, legal, business, partner security teams, vendors and external partner companies to achieve business objectives. You care deeply about keeping Amazon customers safe and therefore are passionate about mitigating vulnerabilities/risks by partnering with product teams. You’re well-known for your excellent prioritization skills as well as your ability to communicate at all levels of an organization. About the hiring group
The Amazon Devices and Services team designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Kindle family of products. We have also produced groundbreaking devices like Amazon Echo, Fire tablets, Amazon Fire TV, Echo Show, Echo Spot, and more. The Digital Security team works to ensure that our devices are designed and implemented to the high standards required to maintain and enhance customer trust. We also partner with and empower our engineering and product management teams on security and privacy (https://blog.aboutamazon.com/amazon-ai/protecting-data-privacy)matters. The team develops security automation for devices & services, performs penetration testing, and handles and tracks incident responses to resolution. The Digital Privacy team is responsible for enabling business growth and innovation while honoring data policies and controls that help protect customer privacy. We are responsible for setting and executing the security and privacy requirements across the entire organization.

Job responsibilities
Your team will have an enormous opportunity to solve key security problems while developing strong mechanisms and delivering security solutions at scale. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or relevant work experience
· 10+ years of hands-on industry experience driving complex cross functional programs
· 5+ years managing and building teams (including coaching and mentoring)
· Background and experience in security in one of the following areas – security by design, building security features for products, security policy implementation, and/or driving security initiatives across large organizations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· MBA or Master’s degree
· Experience driving prioritization of security risks/vulnerabilities and ensuring that they are properly understood by the business and fixed and/or mitigated.
· Experience partnering and influencing cross functional engineering, QA and testing teams as well as external partner companies to drive security improvements in complex products
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations and drive actions
· 10+ years communicating complex issues and concepts verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences, forming partnerships, and driving commitments across the enterprise to deliver security programs.
· Developed, implemented, and enforced policies applicable to entire organizations
· A self-starter who can take general direction and produce specific results. When the resources are not immediately at-hand, you enjoy reaching out to a wide array of functional groups across an organization to get the information you need.
· Work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
