What will you help us create?
The Role:
Connectivity & SW Group (CnS), responsible for developing and integrating connectivity solutions for all of Lab126 products, is seeking a Sr. Manager for Technical Program Management (Sr. Mgr, TPM). You will manage a team of Wireless Technical Program Managers. The Sr. Manager position requires excellent leadership skills, strong technical expertise, and hands-on project management skills. The right candidate will be adept at writing technical specifications, owning program schedules from design to release for all programs, partnering effectively with multiple cross functional teams within and outside of Amazon, and managing deliverables for critical milestones.

In this role, you will wear many hats; you must possess a unique combination of strong technical skills and business acumen as well as a do-what-it-takes attitude. You will need to be a strong leader, able to communicate clearly and compelling at all levels of the company. Your a seasoned senior manager that brings out the very best within the Wireless Technical Program Management team. A successful candidate will have strong passion for customers and possess in depth understanding of wireless technologies. You must have a background in program management, product development, hardware and firmware design, testing and manufacturing of wireless devices. You must be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively across multiple organizations, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and applications that customers love.

Key Responsibilities:
· Own the planning and delivery of all connectivity solutions pertaining to product(s) delivery and new technology initiatives.
· Hire and develop a world class Wireless TPM team
· Manage prioritization and tradeoffs against, customer experience and time to market.
· Establish business processes and robust mechanisms to ship products on time
· Drive architecture, engineering and integration decisions and timelines with dependency teams.
· Develop, report, and continually improve performance metrics.
· Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, and technical goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
· Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
· 5+ years of technical program management experience
· 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams

· 5+ years of technical program management experience
· 10+ experience in technical program management of embedded systems software, IoT, consumer electronics or related field.
· 10+ experience in wireless technologies.
· 7+ experience coordinating cross functional teams in both hardware and software engineering.
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical discipline.
· Experience building processes, project management, and release schedule.
· Experience working in a product development team, and a track record of shipping devices on time.
