The Sr. Partner Development Manager will be responsible for leading major efforts establishing partnership with Measurement and AdTech service and tool providers. You will develop and grow relationships with external partners (3rd party solution providers) and their teams and work to understand their business and product. You will also work very closely with our Engineering and Product teams to ensure that our advertising offerings fulfill the needs of our external partners. Furthermore, you will work with our external partners to ensure the right integration of our advertising offering into their solution. Our group functions as a start-up within Amazon, and offers a creative, fast paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you’ll be at the center of Amazon innovation. You will have a direct impact on your customers by making it easy and efficient for these partners to help Amazon advertisers, increase sales and promote their brands through Amazon advertising. This person can sit in the San Francisco, CA or New York City office.

Job Responsibilities:
· Manage and grow relationships with existing and new 3rd party solution providers, building measurement and ad tech services to support Amazon advertising
· Capture Voice of Partner and quantify impact of product requests to feed into product roadmap and influence prioritization of product development
· Effectively manage C-level relationships
· Develop and manage Account plans and Organize and lead Quarterly Business Reviews with external partners
· Lead Joint Business Planning with external and internal partners
· Act as single point of contact that can effectively help measurement and ad tech partners manage and grow their business on Amazon
· Identify opportunities to enable business development and engage with marketing teams to execute on these opportunities
· Influence third-party partners to adopt critical and valuable Advertising products, focusing on measurement services

The ideal candidate has deep experience in online advertising managing strategic partnerships and has understanding of measurement, ad tech and data management solutions, product/advertising feeds, and a keen sense for a great customer experience and how to measure improvements against it. They have the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, can separate the signal from the noise, recommend alternative approaches to come up with innovative and optimal solutions for partners and for Amazon. This role is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the future vision for the Amazon Ads business.

Key job responsibilities
Manage and grow relationships with existing portfolio of 3rd party solution providers, building technology solutions on top of the Amazon advertising APIs and data integrations supporting all ad products
· Capture Voice of Partner and quantify impact of feature requests to feed into product roadmap and influence prioritization of product development

A day in the life
An average day, will include combination of external activities (~60% of time), connecting with C-level points of contact at the partner to discuss new opportunities and understand progress with previously released initiatives, and internal activities (~40% of the time) connecting with internal product managers, marketing on enablement activities and diving into data to understand partner progress.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
  • 5+ years of professional work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Strong experience in Online advertising
Strategic Partnership Management experience
Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong business acumen
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Experience in bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant product management/relationship management work experience in the online industry
  • Experience working with/at Measurement and AdTech providers
  • Experience with performance and display advertising

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
