Successful candidates will be able to balance think big with realities of delivering on customer promises today. They will also have excellent analytical and creative thinking skills, and the ability to break down complex problems with no clear answers (and at times, conflicting data) into simple, innovative solutions and/or clear, measurable implementation plans. ISCAP is looking for a driven people manager that will own the supply planning (S&OP) focused on supporting our growth and expansion into new Data Centers to support our cloud customers.

General Work Activities:

* Prioritize activities and align with stakeholders to deliver supply globally with a high degree of predictability
* Be a subject matter expert for the customers, technologies, and markets in which you engage
* Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals
* Identify and drive realization of opportunities for durable, relative advantage in your category

Function Specific Work Activities:

* Proactively identify supply base opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize industry developments that benefit Amazon
* Identify and pursue opportunities to leverage and consolidate the supply base using system level tools and techniques
* Understand forecasting, demand planning, material/supply/inventory planning, and manufacturing processes/capacity to verify supply commitments
* Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving excess
* Drive cross functional initiatives to continually lower risk and reduce lead times
* Drive continuous improvement processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations

A day in the life
You will be working closely with multiple original design manufactures (ODMs) to plan supply of critical management switches and timing devices. You will partner with engineering to develop and launch new switch platforms, drive second sourcing strategies and implement buffer plans. In this role you will be looking at “what’s next” on the technology roadmap so you can build a supply strategy to support it.
