Prime Air is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead Program Management for our Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) and Flight Sciences organization. In this role, you will be responsible for program management in Prime Air’s engineering and science teams that are critical in developing future drone and system designs.

You will work closely with Program Managers, Technical Program Managers, Engineering Leaders (up to and including Vice Presidents), Product Managers, and Engineers to deliver on our engineering objectives. Your role is the key leader of our engineering teams, working closely with engineering executives to develop and execute on our plan.

This role sits in a central Program Management Team.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and drive program management mechanisms to ensure the Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) / Flight Sciences organization delivers in support of the Prime Air program-level plan.
  • Own and drive document generation, status tracking, schedule updates, and metrics deck developments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Business Partners, including finance, human resources, trade compliance, and legal.
  • Work with other Program Managers across Operations, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Engineering, Product, and Business to lead, create, implement, and drive processes that improve execution and communication.

Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.


  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Exchange, and SharePoint
  • Experience with project delivery for large, cross functional projects
  • Demonstrated experience with business communication
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Demonstrated bias for action and “get it done” attitude
  • Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of choices and identify what truly matters


  • MBA preferred
  • Program Management experience working on a complex, integrated customer-facing project
  • Quantitative analytical abilities
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated Amazon Business Writing skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Interest in aerospace or product development.
