Sensata is seeking to fill its newly added position as Technical Publications Compliance Engineer. Reporting through the Design Engineering department but working closely with our Quality and Aftermarket functions, this position will take the lead in managing our aftermarket technical publications and Reliability reporting. This position will also support Engineering Services/Document Control to ensure an organized configuration management system is maintained and the various processes are performed diligently and efficiently. Knowledgeable on the latest regulations and their real-world applications, the successful candidate will likely be an experienced Engineer with a working knowledge of Aerospace Contracts and Product Support agreements. They will also be an enthusiastic self-starter, comfortable working on their own and as part of a fast-paced team focused on ensuring the highest levels of support to our customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Management of the companies Aftermarket technical publications, specifically our compliance with the latest regulations including ATA Specification 2000 and S1000D.
- Work with all internal and external sub-contract partners to ensure the timely publication of CMM’s, CMP’s, and Service letters as defined by our customer contracts and support agreements.
- Collation, monitoring and publication of component performance and reliability data. Will likely include working in close collaboration with our customers to improve the accuracy of our service life & reliability reporting.
- Work with our Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering departments to continue our focus on product reliability and the minimization of our customer cost of ownership.
- Prepare and present regular management reports detailing our adherence to key compliance initiatives.
- Participate / Lead Continuous Improvement activities to implement techniques and methods streamlining internal processes and systems, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Share specialized knowledge with others. Represent the company on specific projects. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g. continuous improvement).
- Maintain control of configuration management related processes for all internal and external documentation.
- Other duties as required.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will be experienced in the publication of Aftermarket technical data within the Aerospace industry with knowledge of the latest ATA specifications and formatting a significant advantage.
In Addition, They Must Have/be
- An Engineering bachelor’s degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) and a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience within the Aerospace Industry
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Good business acumen

This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a “U.S. person” as defined in the ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must: (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident (i.e., “green card holder”) of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, provided that you have applied for naturalization within six months of the date you first became eligible, and if not yet accepted, you are actively pursuing naturalization after two years from the date of your application.
