Description

The welder is responsible for the following

– The proper fabrication and welding of AMI customer parts and assemblies as requested

– no less than 90% of completed parts to successfully pass AMI inspection process

– Offer viable semi-annual process improvement initiatives

– Follow all safety policies and guidelines

– Complete all necessary documentation for proper tracking of work

– General shop housekeeping

Desired Skills and Experience

Ability to use the following tools/equipment

TIG welding machines

Belt sanders, hand-held sanders and grinders

Powered saws

Various hand tools

In process inspection tools such as; measuring tapes, radial/digital calipers, height gauges, etc.

High School diploma or G.E.D.

Successful completion of accredited welding course or equivalent on the job training and 5-10 years high level TIG welding experience.

Willing and able to follow both verbal and written work instructions

Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while performing job duties

Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in fractions as well as decimals

To be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
