Marketing Analyst Job Description

The Marketing Analyst is responsible for performing research and providing insights regarding the market, trends, competitors, potential and existing customers, and current campaigns.

Marketing Analyst to oversee, nurture and drive performance for some of our fastest-growing clients. Marketing Analyst Responsibilities:

    • Provide analytics on client relationship marketing and integrated marketing programs to help determine whether business objectives have been met including metrics to gauge program effectiveness and profitability
    • Deliver meaningful customer insights through preparing and producing analytics reports on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis. This may also include interfacing with media partners to consolidate measurement reporting across all channels
    • Conduct ongoing deep-dive analysis across multiple marketing programs such as emails, search, display and affiliates leveraging multiple data sources and provide strategic insights and campaign recommendations for optimization
    • Identify and develop data collection strategies to support standard and ad-hoc reporting on key performance indicators that directly measure online and offline campaigns, website and conversion funnel performance
    • Drive the targeting and campaign measurement for consumer marketing programs
    • Providing test design and implementation, including A/B and multivariate testing
    • Develop integrated reporting dashboards using data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI and/or Google Data Studio
    • Understanding of the analytics discipline: including process, best practices, tools and techniques
    • Use customers’ raw data and analytical tools such as SQL, Excel and PowerPoint to analyze and report interactive consumer metrics, translating information into actionable recommendations
    • Direct, develop and mentor junior team members
    • May include other duties as assigned

Qualifications of a Marketing Analyst:

    • Quantitative background: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or related field preferred – Master’s degree a plus
    • 3-5 years of data-driven marketing and analytics experience with a professional services firm
    • 1+ years of experience in Digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics, Digital tag management
    • Experience with Excel, database querying software (SQL) and visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation is desirable, as is experience with supportive tools (Tableau, Domo etc.).
    • SAS or another statistical package a plus
    • Experience in digital test design, A/B and multivariate testing a plus.
    • Solid presentation and client facing skills
    • Must have good written and verbal communications skillsExcellent project management and implementation skills
    • Must be a strong self-starter
