Express Entry: The Easiest Way to Migrate to Canada

You might not be aware that there are several options for permanently settling in Canada, but one of the most popular ones is the rapid entry program.

The fascinating thing about this program is that there are typically enough openings each year for roughly 25% of candidates who meet the requirements.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

It means it’s really easy to meet the criteria and move forward in the process! Even better, since they only accept a limited number of people each year, you can’t count on them giving you an invitation every single time!

Unlike other immigration programs that might have a long waiting list, this one doesn’t have any formal restrictions regarding your age, work experience, language skills, or other factors.

However, it does have a limit on new applications each year, so you need to act fast if you want to take advantage of this opportunity.

Here’s how to use the express entry program to its fullest potential to get your application processed in just 6 months.

WHAT IS THE EXPRESS ENTRY PROGRAM?

Express Entry is a new online system introduced to manage applications for skilled workers seeking permanent residence in Canada.

The Express Entry system will speed up the process for qualified candidates and help meet economic immigration priorities. If you’re eligible, you’ll fill out an online profile.

After successful registration, the information on your profile is then put in a pool of other candidates who also seek permanent residence in Canada.

If you’re invited to apply, you’ll submit an electronic application for permanent residence.

You’ll also need to provide proof of language proficiency (English or French) and education, as well as other documents.

Once you submit your application, your application will be reviewed quickly.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR EXPRESS ENTRY:

To be eligible for Express Entry, you must first create an online profile.

You will need to provide basic information about yourself, including your work experience, education, language skills, and other details.

If you are eligibly found, you will be registered into a pool of candidates. From there, you will be ranked against other candidates based on your score in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

The best-ranking candidates will then be called up to apply for permanent residence. Candidates can receive 600 points by meeting eligibility requirements, such as being between the ages of 18 and 35.

Also, have at least one year of skilled work experience within the last three years or have a Canadian educational credential.

Once approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, applicants can become permanent residents without needing any sponsorship from family members or employers!

You will also need to show proof of enough money to support yourself and your family after arrival in Canada.

You can include a copy of your bank statements or investment account statements as part of your application.

Your referees will also need to sign a form that states that they know you personally and can vouch for you.

Once all of this has been completed, IRCC will process your application and give it a score based on factors such as age, education level, a job offer in Canada, your spouse’s educational background, and more.

If you score enough points through this ranking system, IRCC may invite you to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.

Keep in mind that the number of invitations issued each year depends on how many qualified applicants enter their profiles into the Express Entry pool each year.

APPLYING FOR AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST:

The first step in the Express Entry process is to create an online profile. In this profile, you will provide information about yourself, your skills, your work experience, and your language ability.

You will also need to take a language test and get a score that is equal to or higher than the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of level 7.

If you are between 18-55 years old, you can choose to include your spouse or common-law partner in your application.

If you meet all of these requirements, the next step is to submit your Expression of Interest (EOI).

It will be sent to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada, which will then review it. If they decide that you qualify for their immigration programs, they will send back an Invitation To Apply (ITA).

Once you receive this invitation, which is valid for six months from the date it was issued, you have 90 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence by creating another online profile with all required documents attached.

An officer will assess the application based on set criteria and either approve or refuse it.

Remember, if you are applying as part of a family class sponsorship, your spouse/common-law partner may not necessarily be qualified for Express Entry themselves; however, if they do not have any other options for getting into Canada then they could apply together with their sponsoring relative through the Family Class category.

However, if their relationship ends before receiving a final decision on either one’s applications, then both parties would need to start over again at square one.

A QUICK LOOK AT THE COMPREHENSIVE RANKING SYSTEM (CRS):

The Comprehensive Ranking System is a points-based system that is used to assess and score your profile. The CRS is based on the information you provide in your Express Entry profile, including your age, education, work experience, language skills, and more. If you are invited to apply for permanent residence, you will be given a score and placed in a pool of candidates.

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR CRS SCORE?

There are several ways you can increase your CRS score and thus improve your chances of being selected for Express Entry. One way is by having a valid job offer from a Canadian employer. You can also receive points for certain types of work experience, education, and language ability.

Finally, if you have a spouse or common-law partner who is also applying for Express Entry, you may be able to receive additional points. The express entry program is the best option for those looking to immigrate to Canada. It offers an easy transition with lots of benefits.

A significant benefit to the express entry program is that it offers access to services before permanent residency has been granted. Under this system, candidates will have access to temporary permits that provide them with many rights available under permanent residency including working in Canada without a permit.

Permanent residents also get access to healthcare coverage which can be incredibly valuable, especially in cases where they come from countries without accessible healthcare options, such as in some third-world countries.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS AN APPLICATION?

The entire process from start to finish usually takes about six months. However, the first step is submitting an online profile. If you are eligibly found, you will receive an Invitation to Apply. After that, you will need to submit a complete application, which includes language test results, education assessment, and proof of funds.

Once your application is complete, it will be entered into the Express Entry pool. From there, the highest-scoring candidates will be invited to apply for permanent residence.

Candidates with low scores may still qualify if they have received points in other categories like having a close relative who is a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident. A skilled worker must have at least 67 points on their score to qualify as one of the highest-ranked candidates in the pool.
