  • Analyze information to determine, document, and communicate the adequacy of loss and loss expense reserves.
  • Develop and apply advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI-based tools to identify and quantify key drivers of claims outcomes, improve reserve estimates, and generate business insights into loss development behavior.
  • Research, develop, and enhance reserving methodologies and models to improve reserve accuracy and support actuarial transformation initiatives.
  • Analyze and monitor loss development trends, claims emergence patterns, and relevant industry, regulatory, and operational changes, and effectively communicate findings to management.
  • Partner with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to analyze reserve risk for use in capital modeling purposes.
  • Assist with quarterly financial and regulatory reporting (quarter close) and provide data and exhibits for annual statement reporting, including ECO and ULE reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with Claims, Finance, Pricing, Data Science, and Technology teams to improve data quality, streamline processes, and achieve reserving modernization objectives.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to achieve the organization's financial, strategic, and operational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area
  • ACAS or FCAS
  • 4 or more years of experience in reserving and/or pricing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other programming languages preferred
  • Strong business and collaboration skills and responsive to service needs and operational demands
  • Effective time management skill
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic
