The role:

SoFi’s Creative Studio is seeking a highly detail-oriented Production Designer with deep expertise in Figma template development, visual design systems, and scalable production workflows. This role will focus on building, maintaining, and governing production-ready templates and design assets across digital and print channels.

The ideal candidate combines strong visual judgment with technical production expertise and a deep understanding of how design systems translate across formats, teams, and platforms. This person will help establish efficient, consistent, and high-quality design practices across the organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Build, maintain, and manage scalable Figma templates, components, libraries, styles, variables, and production systems.
  • Translate brand standards and creative direction into flexible, easy-to-use templates for digital, print, social, presentations, email, and marketing channels.
  • Establish clear template structures, naming conventions, usage guidelines, and documentation.
  • Create systems that support consistency while allowing for appropriate content and layout flexibility.
  • Manage template updates, version control, archival processes, and ongoing system improvements.
  • Audit Figma files and templates for visual consistency, usability, accessibility, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Develop and maintain production-ready assets across multiple sizes, formats, and channels.
  • Adapt designs across digital and print applications while maintaining the integrity of the visual system.
  • Create efficient workflows for high-volume asset production, localization, versioning, and content updates.
  • Maintain organized digital asset libraries, file structures, documentation, and handoff standards.
  • Identify production risks and system inefficiencies, then develop practical solutions that improve quality and speed.
  • Support the continued evolution of the organization’s visual design system and production infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the evolution and documentation of design systems, templates, workflows, and production standards.

What you’ll need:

  • 6+ years of experience in production design, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Advanced experience building and managing Figma templates, components, libraries, styles, variables, and shared design systems.
  • Familiarity with Figma variables, auto layout, component properties, publishing workflows, and template permissions.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating scalable visual systems and high-quality digital and print production.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of typography, grid systems, layout, hierarchy, composition, color, and image production.
  • Experience developing templates for digital channels, including web, email, social media, presentations, and responsive formats.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a structured approach to quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of design system governance, documentation, accessibility, and version control.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and digital file specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and system updates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to improve processes and identify production efficiencies.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of print production, including prepress, color management, paper and finishing specifications, proofing, and vendor requirements.
  • Experience preparing printed materials such as direct mail, brochures, packaging, signage, event materials, retail collateral, and large-format graphics.
  • Experience working in financial services, technology, retail, or another detail-sensitive industry.
