About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
About the Team
The Slack AI Solution Strategy team brings Slack’s newest AI and agentic capabilities to life through focused Customer Zero engagements. They turn what we learn into actionable Product feedback, compelling stories, and reusable playbooks that help Salesforce and our customers scale what works. They partner with Salesforce leaders, sellers, Product, Engineering, Customer Zero leads, and Sales leaders to identify high-value use cases, design and build working proofs, and demonstrate what is technically possible and valuable. When deep customer implementation work is needed, this team hands off to Customer FDEs or Professional Services team as appropriate.
The Experience
Design and build the proof. Develop the playbook.
Salesforce is hiring technically grounded Slack AI Solution Strategists—storytellers and designers who make the art of the possible tangible. You will partner with Salesforce leaders through Customer Zero engagements.
Working hands-on from discovery and experience design through prototyping and validation, you will build working proofs that demonstrate technical feasibility and business value. Every engagement creates a direct learning loop with Product & Engineering: strategists bring back high-value use cases, evidence, user insights, and product gaps, then turn proven patterns into compelling stories and reusable playbooks.
This role does not own full customer implementations, long-term production engineering, or ongoing solution support.
Key Responsibilities
- Targeted Engagement Ownership: Lead focused engagements from business and technical discovery through solution design, configuration, integration planning, validation, enablement, and handoff.
- Slack Solution Configuration: Use Slack capabilities, workflows, AI features, and existing approved connectors to bring solutions to life; validate where future integrations or additional engineering could drive further value.
- Connected Systems Design: Design Slack-first solutions that connect AI across broader enterprise tools (Salesforce, Tableau, Google Workspace, etc) to take advantage of data and context across tools.
- Executive and Stakeholder Advisory: Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, inspire new ways of working, and communicate solutions in terms of business outcomes.
- Targeted Activation and Enablement: Create prompts, skills, demonstrations, and usage guidance needed to validate a proof and support limited activation before handoff.
- Product and Engineering Feedback Loop: Capture high-value use cases, user evidence, AI behavior, technical constraints, and product gaps; synthesize recurring patterns; and partner with Product and Engineering to inform product direction and future capabilities.
- Technical Discovery and Diagnosis: Map the workflows, systems, data sources, integrations, permissions, and dependencies behind a use case. When a solution is not working as intended, investigate the underlying cause and distinguish among configuration, data, integration, product capability, AI behavior, and adoption issues.
- Value Demonstration and Storytelling: Communicate the vision, working experience, technical tradeoffs, and potential business value through compelling narratives and demonstrations.
- Strategic Use Case Workshops: Partner with account teams across OUs on use case workshops and connect the dots between Product and feedback from the field.
- Playbook Development: Turn engagement learnings into reusable solution patterns, stories, and playbooks for leaders, sellers, and customers.
You're our person if you have
- 5-7 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, technical consulting, solution implementation, solution architecture, technical product delivery, or another customer-facing delivery role.
- Demonstrated experience leading discovery, solution design, transformation, or advisory engagements with senior internal and/or external stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of Slack, including its workflows, integrations, administration, security, and evolving AI capabilities.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Tableau and how enterprise teams use these platforms to access data, insights, and business workflows
- Practical understanding of applied AI and agentic systems, including prompting, grounding, retrieval, tool use, evaluation, guardrails, and common failure modes.
- Understanding of the product lifecycle and experience working through discovery, design, configuration, testing, release, adoption, and feedback.
- Working knowledge of APIs, MCP, integration patterns, identity, data access, permission models, and enterprise security.
- Executive presence and the ability to communicate technical concepts, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to senior business and technical leaders.
- Ability to synthesize individual engagement learnings into reusable patterns, stories, and guidance.
- Passion for Slack, applied AI, agentic technology, and the future of work.
- You're excited to travel ~25% of the time, working directly alongside internal leaders and/or customers.
Even better if You have:
- Hands-on experience designing or configuring AI assistants, agents, prompts, skills, workflows, or automations.
- Familiarity with SQL to help accurately create and review data-related Slackbot prompts
- Experience with technical or solution architecture, particularly across enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM, Data Cloud, Agentforce, Tableau, or related Salesforce technologies.
- Salesforce, Slack, Tableau, architecture, or comparable Platform or Admin Certifications.
- Experience working with sales leaders, sellers, Sales Operations, or revenue organizations.
How You Think and Work
- A Storyteller: You turn complex technology and business needs into a clear, compelling vision that helps people see what is possible and why it matters.
- A Designer: You begin with people and workflows, shaping intuitive experiences that solve meaningful problems.
- Technically Grounded: You understand how systems, data, integrations, permissions, and AI behavior interact and can build credible proofs without needing to own production engineering.
- A Strategic Builder: You move fluidly from discovery and business value through design, configuration, prototyping, and validation.
- Product-Minded: You recognize when an engagement reveals a repeatable use case, product gap, or broader opportunity.
- Iterative: You build useful proof, test it with real users, and improve it based on evidence.
- Metacognitive: You examine your assumptions and reasoning, assess the quality of AI outputs, seek feedback, and adjust your approach as you learn.
- Collaborative: You align leaders, sellers, customers, Product, Engineering, and implementation partners while maintaining momentum and clear ownership.
