We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and highly collaborative marketer who’s inspired by the idea of helping an iconic brand shake up the world of filmmaking with new tools in 3-dimentional imaging tech.
Responsibilities
- Handle marketing and communication efforts for XR and Virtual Production products with oversight from the marketing lead—crafting campaigns and messaging to establish and grow Sony’s market in these spaces.
- Support relationship development with key contacts for high level XR and virtual content creation in fields from film/TV, to gaming, to education and more.
- Drive content creation, working with users to highlight their work, educate on new tools, and establish Sony as a leader in XR content production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated marketing programs that drive awareness, engagement, and sales across direct, channel, and rental partners
- Support PR strategy and execution for Sony’s XR and VP tools —building relationships with press, creators, and key opinion leaders.
- Partner with the Imaging Solutions team to design and execute demand generation activities for production companies, key accounts, and end users.
- Champion the voice of the customer—sharing insights and trends from the field to inform product and marketing strategy.
- Represent Sony at key industry events, trade shows, and festivals—acting as a passionate advocate for the brand.
- Work closely with the marketing lead on activities that support the overall New Content Creation business that includes Sony Cinema Line cameras and OCELLUS in addition to the XR and VP tools.
- Complete reporting and analysis for relevant projects and time periods as requested by management.
- Help develop yearly marketing plans, budgets, and forecasts that support business growth and brand momentum.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in marketing and/or communications, ideally in the XR, cinema, VFX, video production, or imaging industry.
- Understanding of the film and production landscape with established relationships in the community. Bonus points for knowledge of VFX and 3D/Spatial imaging technologies.
- A storyteller at heart—able to translate technical innovation into creative narratives that resonate.
- Strong collaborator who thrives in a matrixed organization, working across teams and disciplines.
- Equally comfortable thinking strategically and executing flawlessly.
- Passionate about where technology meets creativity—and ready to help Sony establish new markets.
